Wentz, 30, faces an uncertain future in the league.
That has been the question since the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was cut loose by the Washington Commanders on Monday. And it now looks like there is a clearer answer to that.
If a team wants the 30-year-old, it appears that he wants to be on a team. At least that’s according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Rapoport said he saw Wentz in Indianapolis this week “having dinner with his agents.”QB Carson Wentz was spotted downtown having dinner with his agents. He's determined to continue playing and is open to various roles that can help a team.“He’s determined to continue playing and is open to various roles that can help a team,” Rapoport said.
It’s been an incredible fall from the cusp of stardom for Wentz. He was taken by the Eagles with the second overall pick in the 2016 draft, and was in the MVP discussion in 2017, going 11-2 as a starter while throwing for 3,296 yards to go with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
