Bobby Whalen is announced before his team's game against Evansville last season. Whalen announced Wednesday he is transferring to Virginia.The former Cedar Cliff standout announced on Twitter Wednesday that he is transferring from Indiana to Virginia for his final year of college baseball.

Whalen was a redshirt junior who appeared in all 63 games with 62 starts in center for the Hoosier this past season. He finished the season batting .277 with a home run, 39 RBIs, 16 doubles and six stolen bases. He hit .283 with two homers, 33 RBIs and 22 stolen bases as a sophomore.
