Ex-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has agreed to a three-year, $67.5-million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

After spending the first three years of his NFL career as Tom Brady’s backup with the New England Patriots, Garoppolo was traded to the 49ers during the 2017 season. He led the 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance following the 2019 season, a 31-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and two appearances in the NFC championship game, including aHis tenure with the 49ers was marred by injuries, which ended his 2020 and 2022 seasons prematurely.
