Scott Currie, Football Development Officer, said:"Age shouldn’t be a barrier to playing the game you love and getting together with like-minded people for a kick-about. We hear so many people say that you never lose your touch or class on the ball – well now is the time to prove it! "Our sessions are for players of all abilities and fitness levels, we’ve been running them for a few years now and the feedback we receive has been brilliant. The rules are adapted to keep it as close to the normal game as possible, with the obvious difference being no running!
"I would encourage anyone looking to boost their fitness to come along, dust off their boots and join the fun. Being active is important to maintaining good physical and mental health and our walking football is a great way to do just that. "It also gives the opportunity to widen your social circle or get a game again with your friends or work colleagues."
