The Federal Aviation Administration recently gave a special airworthiness certification to Alef, and the company is already selling pre-orders for its “Model A,” which it says is the first vehicle of its kind that has received approval to fly from the federal government. Alef is accepting preorders for the Model A on its website at $300,000. In January, the company accounced it received 440 preorders. It is expected to be released in 2025, according to CBSNews.The Model A has a flying range of 110 miles and a drive range of 200,, although a more expensive hydrogen version of the ride allows a longer range.
