Floyd Mayweather slams Oscar De La Hoya's absence despite receiving death threats
De La Hoya and his promotional partner Bernard Hopkins did not attend the post-fight press conference with Garcia, prompting criticism from many on social media.
In response, De La Hoya said the reason he was not there is because he was advised to leave by his personal security after receiving death threats on the night.When asked about this on Thursday, Mayweather replied: “We all approach things in a different way.“But when it’s all said and done, Oscar De La Hoya’s not my promoter.4“If Tank was to win or if he was to be on the other side and take a loss, I would’ve stood behind him 100 per cent.
