by the Palm Bay Police Department, officers received a call Wednesday about a dog stuck in the mud in a canal in Palm Bay.
Officers responding to the site saw a golden retriever that was unable to move. Officer Carrol, a K9 officer, “sprung into action” and soothed the frightened pooch while attaching a leash around the animal’s neck. The dog stopped whimpering and barking, and Carrol steadied himself in the water.
