Flood warnings remain in place in Shropshire this morning as river levels continue to go down.

The deluge caused travel disruption on Friday and into the weekend, and also led to the death of a man near Cleobury Mortimer. The height of the River Severn is now going down, having peaked at Montford and Welsh Bridge in Shrewsbury on Sunday afternoon and Sunday night respectively.Despite going down, levels are still officially high, varying from 0.6m to 1.75m above the normal range at various points along the river in the county.
