Former San Diego actor Jonathan Sangster came home to give friends, family and critics a first listen to 'Peter Pan'-inspired show
The pandemic put virtually all theater actors out of work, but Jonathan Sangster found a productive way to keep busy over the past two years.
Before joining the national tour of “The Book of Mormon” in 2019, Sangster was a busy working actor in San Diego. He’s now based in New York but came home to recruit the talents of many of his San Diego musical theater friends for Monday’s event.The reading, which featured 13 songs from the score and a few lines of dialogue to bridge between the numbers, didn’t feature the full show’s script. Instead, it gave the audience a taste of what “boy” will sound like and its bold and unusual storyline.
