Gunter, Aledo, South Oak Cliff, DeSoto, and Duncanville High Schools all qualified for the championship game, in their respective divisions, at AT&T Stadium.
Five North Texas high schools will compete for Texas high school football championships before the weekend is out.
On Friday night, South Oak Cliff High School, from Dallas, will have the opportunity to win back-to-back state titles when it plays Port Neches-Groves, from Jefferson County near Beaumont, for the 5A Division II championship.
