Jill Biden’s visit to Colorado next week will follow Vice President Kamala Harris’ appearance in Arvada to discuss climate change in early March.
The White House has been highlighting the results of a slew of bills passed during the Democratic trifecta of President Joe Biden’s first two years in office. That includes the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act.
The four sweeping bills totaled some $3 trillion in new spending, though the bills spread the spending over years, according to the White House. Jill Biden, who has a doctorate degree in education, will be highlighting career training and learning programs aimed at high school and community college students to prepare them for jobs the bills are aimed at. The first lady will be joined by Gov. Jared Polis at the state Capitol at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
