The town cryer kickstarted the event followed by a performance from Accrington Pipeband. Audiences were treated to music from The Voice 2021 Winner, Craig Eddie, as well as other artists such as Viva La Rebel’s, Radioactive and Elton John Rocketman, Lomax Brothers, Luke McQuillan, Just the Brave and Amps and Heels.
Don’t Stop Queen Now was the headline act and all the greatest Queen Songs were played to round off the night.Josh Blayne Allen, Chairman of Accrington Community Events, said: “With music from some fantastic bands and solo artists it was a brilliant day and we hope everyone who came enjoyed. “We’re now in the process of planning next year’s Music Festival and got some big ideas to make it bigger and better than this year’s!
“A special thank you to all our sponsors and all the businesses which bought advertising space and the Sea and Air Cadets.” Hyndburn Council, Eafield and Maple, The Energy Guys, Earl Transport, Silcocks of Accrington and Carer’s Link sponsored the festival, while the Sea and Air Cadets helped steward the entire event.Accrington Carnival will be returning on June 25.
