The dragon will be backed by a fire display
A fire-breathing dragon is set to swim through the Royal Albert Docks as part of Liverpool's Chinese New Year festival.
Outdoor art experts Walk the Plank will showcase ‘The Dragon & The Pearl’ - an enchanting display running from Friday, February 9 - 11. In Chinese mythology, the pearl is emblematic of wisdom, spiritual energy and power, while the dragon symbolizes prosperity, good fortune and serves as a rain deity.READ MORE: Try the Liverpool Echo Premium app and get the first month free
Visitors can expect to see a huge, floating, fire-breathing dragon adorned with a Pearl travelling through the waters of the docks. As the dragon makes its way through the Royal Albert Dock system, Bring The Fire Project will provide fire performances adding an extra flair to this striking display.The event is part of the Chinese New Year celebration taking across the city.
