Former Celtic owner Fergus McCann was invited to Ibrox on Sunday, and took in the derby with Rangers alongside the Parkhead board.
Businessman McCann, 82, was the majority shareholder at Celtic between 1994 and 1999 and his investment helped keep the club afloat during a dark period when they faced bankruptcy. He sold his shares before the turn of the century, with Dermot Desmond then becoming the largest shareholder. McCann has occasionally returned to Parkhead since, taking in their win over Kilmarnock in 2019.
McCann was in Glasgow over the weekend and posed for pictures with fans at a screening of The Celtic Story musical at the SEC Armadillo. But on Sunday he also took in another big event; his old club's 1-0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox. He was invited by the Parkhead board and watched the crucial showdown from the directors' box as Brendan Rodgers' side dealt an early blow in the title race.
