Forget Rudolph and Blitzen in the North Pole, you can meet Patara and Pringles here in Lancashire
It's a well known fact that without the help of his magic reindeer, Santa Claus would have no chance of getting around the world on Christmas Eve to deliver presents. And his reindeer - Rudolph, Blitzen, Donner, Vixen and co - need too keep their strength up with special food.
According to their keepers, they usually find out when the Red Rose reindeer have been called into action, because when they visit them on Christmas morning "we often find a little thank you note from Santa". And now visitors can help prepare Patara and Pringles for the festive season by purchasing special feed bags during two timeslots each day, from November 11 right up to Christmas Eve.
Feeding times are 10.30am to midday and from 1.30pm to 3pm, with each bag £5. The reindeer will have plenty of room to roam in their enclosure, but their lodge will be closed for feeding times.
