Federal prosecutors have charged a man with supplying drugs that allegedly killed Mac Miller in 2018.
, some people who illegally manufacture these substances lace other drugs with fentanyl, meaning buyers are consuming something they weren't expecting to — which can prove deadly.
“Drugs laced with cheap and potent fentanyl are increasingly common, and we owe it to the victims and their families to aggressively target the drug dealers that cause these overdose deaths," United States Attorney Nick Hanna said, many states have laws against "drug-induced homicide," which allow prosecutors to charge the people who sold drugs that resulted in an overdose death. Other states without such measures prosecute similar cases under other laws.
