Minister says economic tribunal could probe the legislation, but says province has to see the bill first.

Eyre said there are more than 70,000 people directly and indirectly employed by the agriculture and energy sectors. However, she couldn’t say how many of these jobs could be lost as a result of federal legislation.

When asked if she’s prepared for another fight with Ottawa, Eyre said the legislation could be assessed for economic harm “and then we go from there.” In an emailed statement, Saskatchewan NDP energy critic Aleana Young said “this newest squabble is a failure in leadership by both the federal government and Scott Moe and the Sask. Party.”
