The new grilled chicken wrap on Wendy’s spring-inspired menu is similar to the popular “Snack Wraps” rival McDonald’s eliminated in 2016.
DUBLIN, Ohio – Wendy’s announced Thursday it will offer three new menu items beginning March 28, including one that could lure some McDonald’s loyalists into the company’s restaurants.
“There are many who’ve tried to master the grilled chicken wrap, but we’re not snacking around with our offering,” John Li, vice president of culinary innovation for The Wendy’s Company,. “From our classic creamy Ranch sauce to the warm wrap folded perfectly for people on the move, our team built a wrap that’s worthy of the entrée menu.”
Carl Loredo, Wendy’s global chief marketing officer, distinguished the new grilled chicken wrap from McDonald’s snack wraps.Loredo told CNNLoredo described the new wrap as more of a meal, rather than a snack, that has the “freshness you see in our salads wrapped up in a portable offering.”
