Ashlee Simpson, January Jones, and more celebrate Farfetch's beauty launch
It’s near-summer in Los Angeles, which means there’s a palpable excitement in the air for the warm days ahead. Thankfully, there are lots of opportunities to celebrate. On Tuesday, Farfetch hosted a cocktail in honor of their latestagainst the backdrop of the Schindler House, the infamous 1920s R.M. Schindler-designed home set on a surprisingly quiet street in West Hollywood.
“I think for us, this is such an amazing opportunity. We’ve never done a category launch before,” Farfetch’s chief brand officer, Holli Rogers, told. “So much has been said about how makeup and this whole beauty industry makes you look, and that insinuates how other people see you… but it’s how it makes you feel.” Farfetch Beauty has an ethos of beauty with no bounds—be it age, gender, race, or culture.
The evening began with passed apps and signature drinks that included two-bite avocado toasts and hibiscus-infused mezcal margaritas made perfect for wandering through the concrete and wood rooms. Undone, moody florals adorned the spaces, giving life to the raw materials that make up the famous architect's former abode. Guests included Ashlee Simpson Ross, Evan Ross, January Jones, Samantha Ronson, Violet Chachki, Noah Beck, and more.
The night’s entertainment came courtesy of DJ Caroline Polachek, who performed her set behind a sleek metal DJ booth as guests swayed and laughed and sipped on their drinks. The invite’s attire read, “your choice, your Farfetch,” and partygoers leaned into their personal style both sartorially and with their glam—from January Jones’ embellished jeans and minimal makeup look to Violet Chachki’s pink chainmail dress. In a sea of parties that can feel stuffy, Farfetch’s soiree did not.
