Mendes posted a photo of the smoke-covered Manhattan skyline less than 48 hours after the city was engulfed with smoke from raging Canadian wildfires.
“even if this song is about the climate crisis — this seems a bit much. like there better be intersectionality of climate justice and have a feat from greta herself,” another Twitter user commented, referring to Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
The controversial cover art was used to promote his newest single, which releases Thursday at midnight.
“But it was just a fling and they’ve put an end to it now. They realized it was probably a mistake to give things another shot. Things ended between them the first time for a reason, after all.” The source added, “In reality, both of them know they aren’t right for each other romantically and now they just want to move on.”
A source told the Sun that the two realized it was a “mistake” for them to try to rekindle their old romance.
