Family is being sought for a 77-year-old man found dead in Birmingham home

Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating family for a 77-year-old man found dead in his Birmingham home. No foul play is suspected in the death of Joseph Lee Poole, but his body his ready to be released for burial and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not been able to find any family members for him.
Poole was found dead about 6:30 p.m. March 19 in his home in the 1800 block of 30th Street West. Police were summoned to the home by a concerned neighbor to perform a welfare check.His sister, Betty Poole, recently died and Joseph Poole was the only family listed on her funeral arrangements.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
