Danni Coombs' family are 'hoping her sad story will help save other lives,' as they have urged young people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Coombs initially suffered from extreme sickness after contracting the virus, before her oxygen levels started to drop causing her to be admitted to Milton Keynes Hospital where she was put on a ventilator.

However, after she contracted sepsis, the 25-year-old's family were told by doctors that she might not survive. She died on July 15, just a few days after she was taken to hospital. However, the uptake of COVID vaccines has slowed in recent months as only two thirds of residents aged between 18-29 have so far come forward for a jab despite being offered it from mid-June, according to theCoombs' family said that she had a medical condition that sometimes affected her daily life, and said that they believe she should have been called up earlier for her jab.

Coombs' family are now hoping that her death can be used to spread the message to young people to get their COVID vaccines as soon as possible.
