Merseyside Police have urged any witnesses to come forward
The family of a “caring and thoughtful” dad and husband have paid tribute after he died following a crash on the M53.
“Stephen was a loving husband and father to his wife and his wonderful children, a caring and thoughtful man who would always prioritise others over himself. Stephen will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. The family have requested privacy at this devastating time.” ECHO readers have also paid tribute to Mr Shrimpton and sent their condolences to his family. Writing on the ECHO’s Facebook page, Stacey Hancock Mctigue said: “Unbelievably heartbreaking, thoughts with his two babies, family and friends.”
Detective Sergeant Andy Roper, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: “The thoughts of everyone at Merseyside Police remain with those who were affected by the tragic incident yesterday.
