Jason Varnish, 46, of Millburn, died in Vail in February 2020.

The settlement was announced last week by Denver-based attorney Peter Burg, who represented Jason Varnish’sVarnish, 46, of Millburn, died of asphyxiation on Feb. 13, 2020, after the chair he was preparing to board arrived with the seat in the up position against the backrest, according to Burg Simpson, his family’s law firm.
