The family of the man shot during a Fiesta event last week has identified him as Omar Rodriguez of Uvalde, for whom a GoFundMe campaign has been created to help pay his medical expenses.
Rodriguez was with his family near Historic Market Square, in the 100 block of South Concho Street, on April 26. About 10:30 p.m., he got into an argument with another man who took out a gun and shot Rodriguez in the chest.page for Rodriguez, the shooting left him with blood and air around his lungs and a broken rib. He is expected to be in intensive care for at least another week.
“All of the prayers and love are greatly appreciated and do not go unnoticed,” said Makayla Khloe, who identified herself as Rodriguez’s sister, on the GoFundMe page.READ ALSO:
