The F1 star has missed the last five races with a broken hand.
Daniel Ricciardo has started just two races in 2023 Daniel Ricciardo will be back on the Formula One grid for this weekend’s United States Grand Prix after recovering from his hand injury. The news was officially confirmed on Wednesday by AlphaTauri, with Ricciardo saying it is ‘good to be back’ behind the wheel. Having lost his seat at McLaren last year, the Aussie returned to grid in July after Red Bull’s sister team axed the struggling Nyck de Vries after just 10 races.
’ It is no secret that Ricciardo is aiming to return to champions Red Bull in the future and though the eight-time race winner has a fantastic reputation it remains to be see whether his injury will hamper his abilities. Liam Lawson greatly impressed while deputising for Ricciardo AlphaTauri have already confirmed that he will be racing for them in 2024 alongside Yuki Tsunoda, with Lawson disappointingly missing out.
