The National Weather Service warned of a 'relentless parade of atmospheric rivers' over the coming week.
Peak winds across the Sacramento area topped out at nearly 70 mph, with McClellan seeing 68 mph, Mather seeing 64 mph, and Sacramento International Airport registering 63 mph.
The wet weather comes after days of rain in California from Pacific storms. A series of recent weather systems have knocked out power to thousands, flooded streets, battered the coastline and caused at least six deaths.
