Amazon Studios has dropped the official Expats poster for its upcoming miniseries, starring Oscar winner Nicole Kidman.
The poster features Kidman’s character walking through an empty market street in Hong Kong. The limited drama will start streaming on January 26 on“Set against the vibrant and tumultuous tapestry of 2014 Hong Kong, Expats centers on three American women – Margaret, Hilary, and Mercy – whose lives intersect after a sudden family tragedy,” reads the synopsis. “The series interrogates privilege and explores what happens when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred.
Expats is written, directed and created by Wang, based on Janice Y. K. Lee’s internationally bestselling novel The Expatriates. Joining Kidman are Sarayu Blue , Ji-young Yoo , Brian Tee , Jack Huston , newcomer Tiana Gowen, Bodhi del Rosario , Valarie Yu , Amelyn Pardenilla, Ruby Ruiz, and more. Executive producers are Wang, Daniele Melia, Per Saari, Alice Bell, Theresa Park, and Stan Wlodkowski. The series is also co-written by Park, Bell, Lee, Vera Miao, and Gursimran Sandhu.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
