Ohio indie rockers Carriers have a new record out next week on Aug. 23, and today they’re sharing the next single exclusively on. “Another Guy” follows previously released cuts like the equally dreamy “Patience” and choppier “Make It Right.” Listen to it below.
A short version is that I was in my old house where I used to live in Northside and I was lifted up into the air, staring straight into the face of a statue of Jesus. The stone started to break apart and he was there in the flesh. One thing he told me was to be wise with my money. The rest was just this overwhelming feeling of love & importance. I think he was ultimately talking to me about self-care.
It started out as a demo taped at Ultrasuede Studio and acquired a drum part created by Bryan Devendorf and a bassline by Afghan Whigs’ John Curley.
