The Met Office has issued weather warnings across the whole of Scotland, with the worst affected areas being hit with a red alert as Storm Babet brings 'disruptive' rainfall.
Autumn is most definitely here. This week we have seen dark mornings and extreme fog but now, Glasgow is to be hit with heavy rain and disruptive weather as forecasters issue warnings across the whole of Scotland.
With Storm Babet making its rounds, Glasgow has been hit with a yellow weather warning, with other parts of Scotland upgrading to red alerts. Forecasters say Storm Babet is expected to bring "exceptional rainfall" which will cause severe flooding and risk to life on Thursday in some parts of the country - the worst affected set to be Dundee, Angus, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.READ MORE: Taxi driver dies in Barrhead crash caused by danger driver with seven previous convictions
The Met Office has issued Glasgow with a yellow alert and have told of what to expect in the coming days. The warning was announced today, October 18 with Storm Babet to hit the city from 6am tomorrow, October 19. Forecasters have warned people of flooding, possible road closures, power cuts and possible damage to buildings.Met Office experts have created a list of what to expect:
As well, Scotrail has advised travellers to plan in advance, posting to Facebook they said: "Travelling on Thursday or Friday this week ?
