It's about to get (even more) miserable
The Met Office forecast shows the weather will turn increasingly wet and windy this afternoon after a brighter start for some. Conditions will then turn cloudier this evening while there will still be some isolated showers in parts of the county.
Elsewhere in the UK, a 12-hour yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office covering parts of Wales and South West England and lasts until 7pm tonight. There are also separate yellow weather alerts for rain covering Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Paul Gundersen, said: "Strong winds will develop across the South West early on Friday, pushing further north across parts of Wales through the day. Gusts of 35 to 45 mph are likely quite widely for a time, with gusts over 50 mph affecting some coasts and hills, mainly across Cornwall and west Wales.
