Above average temperatures are expected in October
Brits will be able to enjoy warmer temperatures than normal in October as a 'mini heatwave' is on the way.
October's warmer weather is set to start tomorrow but will be closely followed by wind and rain. Brits will have to wait until the weekend to enjoy a prolonged period of warmer weather. Forecasters expect temperatures to rise again on Saturday where the mercury will remain high for at least two weeks, according to BBC charts. Temperatures will not dip below 19C in some parts of the country, including the capital, until Friday, October 13.Average October temperatures usually sit around 13C, the Mirror reports.
Greg Dewhurst, senior operational meteorologist, previously said: "There are signs that if we get enough sunshine on Monday we could see temperatures climb to around 25C in the southeast of England but then fresher air moving in soon after this." It stays mixed through the rest of this week, with temperatures generally above average and reaching the low twenties at times across southern parts of the UK.
