Joe Hermitt | [email protected] Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar – who played a key role in the contentious 2020 election, but later resigned over an unrelated advertising error – has launched an election consulting firm.
As secretary from 2019 to 2021, Boockvar was in charge of the Pennsylvania Department of State and its role in administering the 2020 election, including the implementation of Pennsylvania’s mail-in voting system created by Act 77. Boockvar said at the time that she only learned of the error a week before news of it broke, but accepted responsibility as the head of the department, and resigned.
