Kyle Ratcliffe, father of Eddie Ratcliffe, was sentenced on Thursday
This is everything the judge told the father of one of Brianna Ghey's murderers as he was unmasked as a sex offender. Kyle Ratcliffe, 36, exposed himself in front of two teenage college students days before his son's murder trial began.
"These offences attracted from you a guilty plea today, the date of the plea and trial preparation hearing. The offences within this indictment, coupled with your previous convictions, make it quite clear that you have a sexual attraction towards female children and teenagers whom you objectivise for the purposes of your own sexual gratification.
"You went into the changing rooms there, you then preceded covertly to video record on your mobile phone a female child, of pre-pubescent age, perhaps 12 to 15-years-old, getting changed. The child's breasts and vaginal area were exposed and captured by you on the film that you took. "But they provide a background which speak to your wish to view material such as this for your own sexual gratification. On November 22 and 23 of last year you committed the offences in count two and three on this indictment. The offences are identical in nature.
"You had deliberately pulled your trousers down to your knees, exposing your erect penis. As you were masturbating you maintained eye contact with your victims. "Notwithstanding this, what you were doing was clearly abusive of your two victims, and will have had a lasting effect upon each of them, given the clarity with which they were both able in their interviews to recall the events.
"The evidence of these two convictions aggravate your offending within these proceedings. It is not lost on me, Mr Ratcliffe, that on these two previous occasions you received alternatives to immediate custody.
