Dog abuse in Greater Manchester is on the up, new figures show
The charity say reports of animal abuse including attempted killing, poisoning, beating, neglect and abandonments, have increased by four per cent in the last year.
Nina Small, chief inspector for Greater Manchester, said the incidents were 'terrible' and 'sickening'. “But these awful statistics tell a different story. Dogs are the most abused animal in this country and we investigate more complaints about them than any other type of animal.
