To date there have been 11 official, and unofficial Trill hosts for the Dax symbiont in Star Trek, and here's each host as seen in Star Trek: DS9.
The Dax symbiont in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine had nine official Trill hosts across the centuries, from Lela to Ezri Dax . First introduced in Star Trek: The Next Generation, the Trill were a humanoid species of whom a select few were chosen to join with a symbiont. The resultant symbiotic bond between the symbiont and its host meant that each host retained the memories of their predecessors.
9 Emony Dax After Tobin's death, the Dax symbiont was joined with Emony, an Olympic gymnast, who was represented by dabo girl Leeta . Emony revealed to Jadzia that she had concerns over how the joining would affect her gymnastic prowess, but it was actually improved. Jadzia later revealed that Emony had once visited Earth to judge a gymnastics competition where she had a brief fling with a young Leonard McCoy at the University of Mississippi.
During Jadzia's zhian'tara ritual, Joran was summoned into the body of Benjamin Sisko who, despite being confined to a cell, was still able to break free and attempt to murder Jadzia. Years later, Ezri Dax used the memories of Joran Dax to help solve a series of murders committed by the traumatized Lt. Chu'lak . However, Joran's assistance came at a price, as the former host tried to convince Ezri to commit murder to "know how it feels", but Ezri was able to resist.
4 Jadzia Dax Wracked with guilt for how his infatuation had almost cost Jadzia her chance to fulfill her ambitions, Curzon Dax redeemed himself by approving her second application. This made Jadzia Dax the only Trill to successfully complete the program after first being rejected. Jadzia specifically requested to receive the Dax symbiont after Curzon's death, something he willingly agreed to.
