European stocks are set to open slightly higher Friday morning, as investors breathe a sigh of relief after a delay to Brexit but continue to remain concerned over global growth.

But investors are relieved after talks between EU leaders and British Prime Minister Theresa May earlier this week culminated in a"flexible extension" of the U.K.'s departure from the bloc until Oct. 31. "At least the UK is not leaving on April 12 without a deal. It gives time for continued discussions between the various parties involved in the UK. It probably gives time for economic agents to better prepare for all options, particularly industrialists and workers, in order to try to secure their future," Lagarde said during the IMF and World Bank spring meetings in Washington.
