European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told the European parliament that the Commission is prepared to work"day in, day out" to draw up a deal: Jean-Claude Juncker, one of the most senior figures in the European Union, has warned that the risk of the U.K. leaving the bloc without a trade deal is “palpable” with the Irish border issue a major hurdle in the negotiations.
Juncker called on Johnson to bring written proposals that ensure there will be no checks at the border post-Brexit.
