Fans will also be able to use gender-neutral queues to enter the stadiums in a bit to promote 'diversity and inclusion'will be the first major tournament to introduce gender-neutral queues and toilets at all stadiums as the organisers “embrace gender identities and expressions as a spectrum that is not limited to a binary concept”.
Fans will have the option to enter all of the venues via a gender-neutral queue where they can have their body searched “without connection to binary limitations of gender identification or expression”, stadium guidance says. The issue of transgender players competing against women has been hugely polarising in sport. The UK Government has pushed for sporting authorities to ban transgender women from competing in elite women’s sport and UK Athletics enforced a ban last year.
