Annual event will feature live music, vendors, variety of food, beer and wine garden
The Escondido Street Festival is expected to draw crowds downtown on Sunday, just from the aroma alone. The family-oriented festival with food and entertainment is slated to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Grand Avenue between Escondido Boulevard and Juniper Street. The event, which started three decades ago, will feature live music and hundreds of craft, art and retail vendors selling handmade gifts, including imports.
There will be a beer and wine garden at the Main Stage at North Broadway and Grand, featuring drinks from breweries, wineries and distilleries throughout Southern California. An Art in the Garden juried art show is slated to bring Southern California artists to Heritage Garden at 121 N. Juniper St. to show and sell their work. Nearly a dozen professional live bands are scheduled to perform throughout the event on several stages.
