, the booking site we chose that specialises in luxury countryside escapes. Decked out with 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a farmhouse kitchen complete with agar, a large lounge area looking out onto the rolling countryside hills, a TV snug room and neighbouring tennis courts located within the orchard, it’s safe to say we weren’t exactly in London anymore.
We spent our evenings firstly huddled around the kitchen table, hungrily inhaling the results of whoever’s turn it was to feed the five thousand, before retreating to the spacious and light-filled lounge room to sip the homemade damson gin that had been left for us by the owner, whilst playing chess.
We visited during a very wet week of July, so a BBQ was sadly off the table, but the front patio is yet another space that’s been carefully designed with families in mind. Having 4 bathrooms certainly comes in handy to avoid morning shower scuffles, and adds to the feeling of space throughout the property.
