McTominay's brace certainly eased the pressure on the manager, and even if United had lost, it seems highly unlikely that they would have considered his position at the club. They will be heavy favourites when they travel to face winless Sheffield United on Saturday night and will also be expected to triumph against Copenhagen in the Champions League next week.
