It's official: the Emmys won't have a host this year.
Fox Entertainment's CEO Charlie Collier made the announcement at the network's Television Critics Association press conference on Wednesday.
"It's our job to assess how to elevate the program … and what's interesting about this year is how many amazing shows we're saying goodbye to: 'Game of Thrones,' 'Empire,' 'Veep,' 'Big Bang Theory' — this is new to me, I've never worked on the Emmys before.
Last month, nominations were announced, and"Game of Thrones" made history for earning the most number of nominations for a show in a single season. The HBO drama racked up a whopping 32 nods.
