Emmerdale boss, Jane Hudson, has teased 'at least one' upcoming summer wedding on the hit ITV soap, where a 'familiar face' will return to the village, leaving fans 'delighted'
Emmerdale is set for a string of summer weddings with "at least one" upcoming nuptials confirmed on the hit ITV soap.
Speaking to press, including OK! , boss Jane Hudson has teased a summer of love for the village's residents, which will also include the return of a "familiar face" in the village."I can tell you there is another wedding [as well as Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd's] – at least one – coming up before we get to the end of summer.
"I'm not going to tell you who, obviously. And we’ll be having a familiar face returning before the end of summer. I think the audience will be absolutely delighted when this familiar face makes a return to the show." Jane added that the character will be back "for the foreseeable", teasing further: "Yes, the returning character is coming back for one of the weddings..."This isn't the only character return as Emmerdale villain Thomas King is set for an "explosive" comeback to the hit ITV soap after ten years.
At first, Thomas', whose dad is late killer Carl King, return was reported but Jane confirmed details on Monday."He’s been living overseas for quite some time and then he’s come back to England."And of course, Tom and Belle [Dingle] have a history. They see each other and they rekindle and then we will be on a journey with Tom and Belle for quite some time as we play out the story with them.
