Emergency crews were called to the incident at 6.50am today.
Emergency services were raced to Troon Beach at Crosbie Road in Ayrshire at 6.50am today after receiving a report of the incident. Medics attended and on arrival, the woman was found dead at the scene.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the beach at Crosbie Road in Troon around 6.50am on Tuesday, April 18 2021 following the sudden death of an elderly woman. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
