Now 30, Craig feels he's just getting started in world of all-terrain motorcycles
After nearly a dozen years as a professional and more than a dozen riding-related surgeries since his youth, the 30-year-old El Cajon native recently won his first national Supercross championship.
Now Craig is looking to improve on his career-best, sixth-place finish in the 2021 national outdoor tour. “Everyone deals with injuries in this sport,” said Craig. “I’ve learned my limits, where to push, where to go harder. It’s all part of reaching the next level. I’ve been healthy. I feel strong mentally and physically. I’m focusing on myself and being smart … staying on the bike and in the competition.”
Most riders started on outdoor tracks like the one in Pala off Route 79 or Barona Oaks in the East County.
