Eight people displaced after mobile home engulfed in flames Sunday
The victim suffered from burns over 90 percent of his body.The trailer fire broke out around 2 a.m. on Grandview Drive, which is off Potter Tract.
A neighbor, Joseph Meredith, says he frantically woke up when he heard what sounded like an explosion.“By the time they got here, as far as the house was, the house was basically gone,” Meredith said.Both the Grand Bay and St. Elmo Volunteer Fire Departments rushed out when the home went up in flames.“We noticed that the house across the street from us was going up in flames,” Meredith said. “My wife and I immediately got dressed and came over.
“Hard. Hard to see you know your neighbor’s house go up in flames.
