They could soon be back on the street
This week, LancsLive reported teenage killer Dyson Allen will be eligible to apply for parole in April 2023, after he was sentenced to life for the killing of four siblings in a house fire in Freckleton. The Parole Board confirmed that although Allen will be able to make an application to be released from custody, public safety remains its key priority, and there is no guarantee the application will be granted.
If a prisoner is released on licence they are subject to strict conditions and monitoring. If they fail to comply with the terms of their licence, or if they commit another offence, they can be returned to prison to serve the rest of their sentence behind bars. These are some of the Lancashire prisoners serving life sentences who are eligible to apply for parole in the next five years.
