Joseph Quinn looks back at his time on StrangerThings and working with Gaten Matarazzo. '... to explore that fraternal love and ultimately that fraternal separation was, I would say, one of the highlights of this whole crazy experience for me...' ❤️
Eddie Munson star, Joseph Quinn, recently emotionally reminisced about working on Stranger Things season 4. Quinn debuted in the series as Munson, the eccentric yet affable leader of the Hawkins High School Dungeons & Dragons group known as the Hellfire Club. After attempting to help Chrissy with her nightmares by selling her some illicit drugs, Munson witnessed her brutal death by Vecna, a demonic telepathic being from the parallel universe known as the Upside Down.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Following the release of Stranger Things season 4 part 1, Munson became a fan favorite character and Quinn received rave reviews for his performance from critics and fans alike. The character's quirky exterior but warm heart was expertly realized by Quinn as the show progressed. Munson's true caring nature was especially on display with his Hellfire Club compatriot, Dustin, with whom he spent the majority of his time during the season.
"It was such a treat. He's an extraordinary, talented actor. He's 20 now, but I think the whole world has marveled at his abilities. For someone so young, he's got such a presence and he's so playful.
Quinn's kind words show the actor's incredible admiration he has for Materazzo, an actor who gained prominence through his outstanding work on the series. The bond the two shared off-camera definitely came across through Munson and Henderson's strong friendship on-screen. Especially during the final moments between the two characters in the season finale as Eddie lay dying in Henderson's arms.
Quinn appears to understand that being a part of Stranger Things is a privilege that many actors only dream of experiencing. His devotion to the show and to his performance as the outlandish Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast only fueled Munson's popularity with critics and fans alike. Although it is highly unlikely that Quinn will return for Stranger Things season 5, his legacy within the series has already been cemented.
