Rock icon, 'Take Me Home Tonight' singer Eddie Money (ImEddieMoney) dead at age 70:
In a statement issued toThe Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.that he was battling stage IV esophageal cancer, which had spread to his liver, lymph nodes and stomach.
The singer is known for hits like “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise” that are staples of 1970s and ‘80s rock. Money sat down to talk about his career withWhen asked what his favorite songs of his career were, Money mentioned “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On,” but added that he cherished “a lot of great songs that I came up with in the past for some very special people.
